New recruits undergo a thorough and detailed series of training courses to familiarise them with GEOLOG's procedures, policies, products and services.

At GEOLOG, all field personnel with none or very little experience have to start their career in the Mud Logger role. The training for an entry level Mud Logger is designed especially to prepare our personnel to tackle the working conditions on the rig and provides basics such as: well site geological analysis, hydraulic calculations; safety and drilling engineering.
When experienced operators join Geolog their training is customised to match their skills. This training is focused more on GEOLOG's proprietary equipment and products than on the technical aspects of the role.
Training at Geolog never stops. To help facilitate the training and self-development of our employees we introduced the G-RISE self-training program.

For those who wish to progress into an office / operations role we have training for Junior Operations and Technical staff, tailored to the individuals skills and the location of assignment, it is the norm that new operations personnel whether they are promoted from within Geolog or recruited from other Mud Logging Companies will be assigned for their first shifts in an established base where daily training and guidance can be provided from our existing management staff in the country.
