WITSML (Wellsite Information Transfer Standard Markup Language) standardizes data formats and exploits the strength of XML (eXtendible Markup Language). WITSML utilizes self-describing data in ASCII Format and enables message transport via web services standard, thereby transmitting objects which are not simply numbers.
