FLOWGUARDIAN

FlowGuardian is a monitoring package that maximizes the potential of the Geolog surface logging system, to enable accurate and advanced analysis of the fluid balance of the well. The FlowGuardian package assists the drilling operation during all phases of a well: while drilling, tripping, running, casing and cementing.

The FlowGuardian package provides advanced volume monitoring in critical wells:
  • High Pressure-High Temperature wells (HPHT), where kicks are a real possibility
  • Narrow margin wells, with Formation and Fracture pressures very close
  • Depleted or carbonatic reservoirs, where losses are likely
  • Exploration wells, with only minimal offset information on formation pressure and conditions

FlowGuardian delivers to Geolog clients:
  • Advanced flow analysis for critical conditions
  • Better formation analysis
  • Identification of porous zones
  • Increase of MDT % success
  • Safer drilling, with quick loss/gain detection

A dedicated specialist maintains the system and, through Geolog's propietary software, monitors the volume, providing the next level of flow analysis.

  • A dedicated flow log shows with great accuracy all flow variations recorded by the hi-resolution sensor, documenting flow behavior and microlosses.







     
 
  • A PCM Pipe connection modelling software is utilized: Pipe connection trends are monitored, highlighting any returns anomalies.





     
 
  • A dedicated real time analysis of the trip volume returns controls the gain/loss and overpull status.






     
 
  • TFA Transient Flow Analysis software: the normalized flow is calculated in real time.
  • Daily Mud Balance: a detailed tally of the mud balance of the well is kept throughout the operation.
  • Real-time relevant vents of the 24 hrs are identified, interpreted, reported and displayed.
